The event was hosted by Nigel Noble, who owns building supply company Tyrone Stone, in Offerton. Nigel Noble, M D of Tyrone Stone Ltd. said:
“We really appreciated John taking the time to come and meet with us. His candid approach to answering our questions was refreshing and reassuring.
“Paul chaired a very interesting and engaging discussion. Everyone left feeling their voices had been heard. This is exactly what we want from our local politicians”.
Thanking the cabinet office minister for his support, Mr Athans said:
“We had a really productive visit meeting local business owners.
“Small businesses are so important to our economy locally and nationally. That's why we’re backing them with initiatives like full expensing and increasing the VAT registration threshold.
“We are the party of small business and I’ll always champion them.”
Mr Glen added:
“I was delighted to be invited to meet local business owners by our fantastic, dedicated candidate here in Hazel Grove. It was a great opportunity to discuss how we are helping small businesses and discuss with them their role in helping to grow the economy.”
